Taking the Measure of a Reclosable Zip Lock Bag: Reclosable bags are always measured on the outside from the bottom of the zipper to the bottom of the bag (L) and from side to side (W). There is about 1/2-inch of Lip above the zipper. Actual size may vary 1/4-inch larger or smaller overall.
